Qualifiers:

Must be a US Citizen

Must be at least 21 years old at the time of licensing

Good moral character, with a stable work history and a valid Texas DL

Lateral Officer Requirements
-
Two years of continuous, full-time police service and be in good standing ​

Entry Level Testing Requirements (TEMPORARILY WAVIED)​
-
30 college hours from an accredited university with at least a 2.0 GPA OR
-
Four years active military duty with Honorable Discharge

Qualifiers:

Good moral character, with a stable work history and a valid Texas DL

High School Diploma or equivalent (manager and above require bachelor's degree)

Must be able to type 35 words per minute (for required positions such as dispatch, records, PSO)
